About

Hi there!

If you've stumbled across this page — welcome! Though this site doesn't get as much love as it should these days, it's still a fun little window into my high school photography days.

Welcome to my website! You can check out my work through the tabs at the top, or use the search bar if you're looking for anything specific. Here's a little bit about me:

I'm a student in Northern Virginia, so a lot of what you'll see may be from my school, Thomas Jefferson HS. I got into photography at towards the start of junior year, and since then I've been taking my handy Canon t5i just about anywhere I can.

Even with 18 million pixels, I'd say it's pretty tough to make each image depict the emotion, atmosphere, and feel of a given moment. Instead, I focus on capturing each detail that makes that instant special: the world beneath the glass eyes of a White-headed Capuchin in the rain forests of Costa Rica, or the pride, ingenuity, and talent reflected in the work behind and the smiles of every science fair participant at TJ.

On the site you'll also find some new and unusual styles in some of the galleries. Whether it be crafting DIY custom bokeh filters for macro shots or taking long exposure 'light graffiti' portraits in the dark, I've always found interest in creating something delves beyond what we expect to see reality.

If you'd like to schedule a photoshoot, an event, or just have any thoughts about my work, you can reach me at ishaandeyphotography@gmail.com, or contact me through Facebook or Instagram @ishaandeyphotography.
